Refund Policy
Understanding our cancellation and refund procedures for ski bookings
Last updated: December 15, 2023
Quick Reference Guide
1. Standard Cancellation Policy
Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both our customers and our partner resorts. Refund amounts depend on when you cancel your booking relative to your travel date.
Cancellation Timeline
2. Premium Package Cancellation
Premium packages offer more flexible cancellation terms:
- More than 14 days before travel: Full refund minus processing fee
- 7-14 days before travel: 75% refund
- 3-7 days before travel: 50% refund
- Less than 3 days before travel: 25% refund
Premium package holders also receive priority rebooking options and can transfer bookings to other dates with minimal fees.
3. Weather-Related Cancellations
Resort Closures
If a ski resort closes due to weather conditions or safety concerns:
- Full refund or credit for future use
- Alternative resort options when available
- No processing fees for weather-related cancellations
Travel Disruptions
For weather-related travel disruptions that prevent you from reaching your destination, we offer flexible rebooking options and partial refunds based on unused services.
4. Medical Emergency Cancellations
We understand that medical emergencies can disrupt travel plans. With proper documentation:
- Doctor's note or medical certificate required
- Full refund available regardless of cancellation timing
- Covers customer, immediate family member, or travel companion emergencies
- Processing time may be extended for verification
We strongly recommend travel insurance for additional protection against medical emergencies.
5. Equipment Rental Refunds
Unused Equipment
Equipment rental refunds follow a separate policy:
- Before pickup: Full refund minus processing fee
- Partial use (less than 50% of rental period): 50% refund
- More than 50% use: No refund available
Equipment Issues
If equipment is defective or unsuitable, we provide immediate replacement or full refund for the affected rental period.
6. Group Booking Refunds
Group bookings (6+ people) have special considerations:
- Individual cancellations within a group follow standard policy
- Entire group cancellations may qualify for enhanced refund terms
- Group size reductions may affect pricing and availability
- Custom group contracts may have different terms
7. Refund Processing
How to Request a Refund
- Log into your account and navigate to "My Bookings"
- Select the booking you wish to cancel
- Click "Request Cancellation" and follow the prompts
- Provide any required documentation
- Submit your cancellation request
Processing Timeline
- Standard refunds: 5-7 business days
- Medical emergency refunds: 10-14 business days
- Weather-related refunds: 3-5 business days
- Credit card refunds: Additional 2-3 business days
8. Travel Credits and Vouchers
Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive travel credits:
- Credits are valid for 24 months from issue date
- Can be used for any Alpine booking
- Transferable to family members
- May include bonus value for future bookings
9. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances not covered by our standard refund policy. Travel insurance can provide coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, travel delays, and other unexpected events.
